Vice President Hu Baijing Audited an MBA Class

On the morning of March 11th, Hu Baijing, Vice President of RUC, paid a visit to Room 801 at Lide Building to audit an MBA class entitled “Integration in Management I: Innovation in Business Organization Under Digital Background”. He listened to the class carefully and exchanged views with teachers and students.

The class is divided into four parts: digitalization and organization reform from a multi-disciplinary perspective, experience sharing by business guests, students’ report, and summary and comments from the teachers.

In the first part, Prof. Huang Wenyi, Dean of Law School, Prof. Feng Shizheng, Dean of School of Sociology and Population Studies, Prof. Zhou Yong, Dean of Journalism and Communication, Prof. Yan Jinming, Dean of School of Public Administration and Policy, Prof. Zang Fengyu, Dean of School of Philosophy and Prof. Zhu Liping, Dean of Institute of Statistics and Big Data attended the MBA class. From the multi-disciplinary perspective, they discussed topics like what digitalization means, how digitalization accelerates business growth (or recession), and the quality of digital transformation. Their in-depth and enlightening views impressed the onsite teachers and students.

Hosted by professors with multi-disciplinary background, the “Integration in Management I: Innovation in Business Organization Under Digital Background” is an innovative course, which integrates business visit, and interdisciplinary and interactive discussion. It is aimed to provide multi-disciplinary views to inspire students’ critical thinking and increase their integration capability. Since its inception in 2011, the course has received wide recognition from students.

The Renmin Business School attaches high importance to teaching innovation. Through case teaching, model teaching, situational teaching, experimental teaching and flipped class model, it aspires to build a talent cultivation model that integrates multiple disciplines so that the students’ core competences can be improved in a sustainable manner.
