The Vice President of Renmin University of China Visits Top American Universities

From October 10th to the 15th, Renmin University of China’s Vice President, Wang Liming, was invited to attend a meeting at the University of Michigan on “China’s Legal Construction System-Towards an Autonomous Legal System”. He also met with RUC alumni at America, Northeastern University’s School of Law’s professor, Margaret Woo, and visited Harvard University.

The topic of Wang Liming’s speech at University of Michigan’s academic conference was “A Separate Book of Personality Rights in a Chinese Civil Code”. After his speech, Wang Liming answered questions from scholars taking part in the conference and discussed the topics of constitution and civil law. Hundreds of law experts from around the world attended the conference.

The delegation visited the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy president, Michael Bars, and professor Ann Chih Lin, discussed online class and degree programs between the two universities.

Wang Liming met with RUC alumni at the University of Michigan, and represented RUC to thank alumni for helping and supporting their alma mater.

Wang Liming spoke with Northeastern University professor, Margaret Woo, and strengthened the relationships between the two universities and discussed future developments in exchange programs.

Wang Li Ming visited Harvard University and met with Harvard University’s School of Law professor, William Alford, and discussed relationships between the two schools.
