RUC has 23,846 full-time students, including 11,210 undergraduate students, 7,814 M.A. students and P.HD students. There are also 46,533 students enrolled in online learning program, and 10,412 students enrolled in continuing education programs.
In China, high school students take a standardized nationwide college entrance examination in order to get admitted to universities. RUC attracts thousands of high school students every year and consistently remains a “Top-three” university, along with Tsinghua University and Peking University, among most competitive and outstanding students’ choices.
Now more than 200,000 RUC alumni have gone on to develop into high-level talents within society, most of whom have become well-known in their own fields and have made great contributions to society.
The division of Student Affairs is one of the primary student service departments in Renmin University of China. We advance the University’s mission by providing programs, services and facilities that foster students’ academic success and well-rounded development. Committed to enhance the quality of student life and learning in RUC, we strive to assist students in self-realization, growth in teamwork and leadership, sense of responsibility and social awareness.
In the Division of Student Affairs, we have a leadership team including the Dean of students and several Directors. To better serve and support students, the Division of Student Affairs is constituted of seven units: Office of the Dean of Students, Financial Aid and Scholarships Center, Student Development Center, Class and Leadership Development Center, Residential Education Center, Psychological Counseling Center, and the Student Conduct and Judicial Affairs Office. In addition to these units, we oversee five student organizations: the Self-Improvement Society (in which most members are financially disadvantaged students), Student Development Association, Student Residential Committee, Mental Health and Wellness Association and the Peer Counseling Center.
