On the morning of October the 2nd the Humanistic Olympic Studies Center led a seminar commemorating and reflecting on the impacts of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Executive Vice President Feng Huiling introduced the accomplishments and findings of the Humanistic Olympic Studies Center, which was established in 2000. The International Olympic Committee members were pleased with the research and overall outcome of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Former Olympian and Committee member Kevan Gosper was particularly impressed by the Center’s findings, and dedication to the promulgation of the Beijing Olympic Games’ legacy. The Center’s research found that the Olympic games positively impacted not only Beijing, but also greater China by enhancing national pride and societal unification. The world as a whole learned more about China and its customs. The seminar ended with the presentation of books and souvenirs to each of the International Olympic Committee members by Vice President Feng Huiling, International Office Director Tang Zhong and the rest of the Humanistic Olympic Studies Center members.
